Seaweeds of South Devon
A series that came about after a seaweed foraging course in east Devon. I brought home samples of various seaweeds and used them to photograph the different types. Not as easy as it sounds. The seaweed were immersed in water in a white baking dish, then put into an indoor studio and lit carefully to avoid reflections. The water had to be changed regularly because colour leached from some of the seaweeds very quickly and I had to avoid movement in the water. The individual images were then put into collages using Photoshop.
